Distinguishing Features: Alpine and subalpine shrub with small (2-4 mm long) densely packed oval or ovate leaves, dark green above, slightly lighter below, usually with only one or a few parallel veins. Drooping inflorescences, and purple berries. Much smaller leaves than its congeners.
