Distinguishing features: Common shrub or small tree of areas of moderate to high rainfall. Leaves alternate, entire, dark green above, covered with coarse hairs below. The flowers are reddy brown and yellow, the fruit is woody and black and opens in half to expose the bright red, sticky mess of seeds.
