Distinguishing features: "Native Hop". Very common shrub or small tree in dry and some wet forests. Leaves shining green, looking sticky, broadest near the apex, the apex is blunt with a small tip (mucro). The fruit has three papery wings.  Sometimes confused with Beyeria viscosa, which however has leaves which are broadest close to the middle, and Bursaria spinosa which has spines.
