Based on either the Australian postcode or overseas country of a studentŐs permanent home residence at the time of enrolment for the current year. Within these categories, Urban is 0-20km from the city centre, Suburban 20-40km, Satellite includes towns on the 40km border of the city, and Rural includes all postcodes that fall outside 40 km.
Rural/Isolated
Definition as Urban/Rural is based on the distance of the postcode of permanent home location from either campus, with rural based on those postcodes in which the majority of towns fall outside 40km from either campus. For postcodes which fall on the border of 40km a grouping called Satellite has been used; for the Urban/Rural dichotomy these are classified as rural.
