Prizes for Research into the History of
Economic Thought 2003
The
History of Economic Thought Society of Australia invites applications
for the award of the 2003 HETSA Prizes.
There
are three categories of prize: (a) best PhD dissertation; (b) best
Masters thesis, where the degree was completed entirely by research;
and (c) best Masters/Honours thesis, where the degree was completed
partly by thesis. A prize of $300 will be awarded to the winner in
each category, provided that the best entry is deemed to be of
sufficiently high standard to merit an award.

Closing
date for entries is April 1, 2003.

The
prizes will be awarded to the candidates who, in the opinion of
the judges, submitted the best thesis (or dissertation) in the
filed of the history of economic thought at an Australian or New
Zealand tertiary institution, in the relevant category.

Any
submission for a prize should be made within two years of the
candidate's receipt of the nominated degree. Candidates must
submit their examiners' reports as evidence of their eligibility
for the prize.

All
submissions must contain two copies of the thesis, examiners'
reports and a covering letter with full contact details of the
applicant.

Entries
will be judged by a prize committee appointed by the Chief
Executive Officer of the History of Economic Thought Society of
Australia.
