Firmin joined the School of Economics and Finance at the University of Tasmania in 2010. He obtained a PhD in economics from University of Montreal (UdeM), Canada in 2010, a M.A in Statistics from ENSEA-Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, in 2004, a B.S in Statistics and planning from National Institute of Economics, Benin 2000, and a B.S in Mathematics from National University of Benin, 1999. Firmin has worked as a limited term Assistant Professor at the University of Sherbrooke, Canada and a Post-Doctoral Fellow at McGill University, Canada.
