To assist your smooth transition to our Faculty, we are offering commencing undergraduate and graduate entry students, exciting and informative introductory activities at Orientation to gain an insight into Education.

Orientation provides the opportunity to meet Faculty staff and current students. You will become familiar with your course and be provided with vital information to enhance your university experience and your personal and academic development. You will also be introduced to our online learning site, My Learning Online, commonly known as MyLO.

Attending Orientation is an invaluable experience. All students are invited to attend one of our face-to-face orientations, whether you intend to study on-campus, externally or through mixed mode.

Orientation for online learning

MyLO is an online learning/teaching facilitation and management application and it is integral to how UTAS delivers its courses and communicates with students. All students need to access their MyLO account to be able to study.

From 7 February every new student will be able to access their Faculty of Education specific MyLO account. 

To access and login to MyLO:

• First make sure you have your UTAS username and password at hand. (You'll find this on your enrolment statement (your username is ‘the characters before the @ symbol in your UTAS email address’ and your password is ‘your UTAS email password’)
  
  
• Next, go to the www.utas.edu.au/learning-teaching-online
  
  
• Login to MyLO using your UTAS username and password.
  
  
• Once you are able to log in to MyLO, you will also be able to find help documentation within the system (look for the IT Help, Library Help, Student Help and Help links on the top right navigation bar).
