Tutor - ESH330 Arts in Education: Drama and Dance
My critical pedagogy is eclectic and experimental and informed by the work of Freire, (2005; 1970/1996), Giroux (1994), hooks (1994) Gould-Lundy (2008) Kohl (1998) and Boal (2000). The writings of these theorists support an emancipatory curriculum with emphasis on reflection, transformation and critical thinking through the construction of a learning community. I am inspired by these theories and frame my teaching within this democratic dialogue. My teaching experience is broad and eclectic. I have been involved in school education in both state and independent arena.
