Continuous ImprovementThe Faculty of Education is committed to continuous improvement of teaching practices using a scholarly, evidence-based approach. Reflective practice is used to inform, educate and assist staff to provide the best learning outcomes to students. Within the Faculty we realise that teaching is a highly personal activity; each of us has our own unique style of designing and delivering courses, based upon our experience, personality, and student cohort. In this environment, evaluation and reflection provide crucial opportunities for improving your students’ learning experience and sharing effective learning strategies with colleagues. Reflective practice underpins teaching across the Faculty. Not only does reflective practice lead to better student learning but it also models this important teaching and learning strategy to our students. This cyclical process, and its implementation within the Faculty, is represented in the flowchart to the right.
