UTAS, in partnership with Skills Tasmania, is offering a research scholarship for full-time PhD or masters research into the benefits and outcomes of vocational education and training for learners, enterprises and the Tasmanian economy and society. UTAS and Skills Tasmania will provide a suite of resources that include laptop, secure data storage, quality skills training and conference attendance. The scholarship includes a tax-free living allowance of $23,728 p.a. for three years (PhD) or two years (masters). The successful applicant will be someone with quantitative or qualitative research skills or both, the ability to explain complex issues in plain English and an understanding of how economics affect social and educational policies and practices. An honours degree (or equivalent) in education, economics, social sciences or other relevant field is essential (visit admission requirements).
