CEMENT Conference
Building the culture of evidence-based practice in teacher preparation for mathematics teaching
Participate in discussions and working groups about what is important in your field of teaching.
This is an interactive conference relevant to all educators:
Early childhood, primary and secondary school educators, university teaching staff, as well as those interested in learning processes and implementation.
Key note speaker: Professor Marnie-Hughes Warrington
Student Panel: The past, present and future of education
This conference will include a dissemination of the outcomes of a project conducted by a consortium of seven Universities across Australia as part of the Australian Learning and Teaching Council (ALTC) grant.
The project focussed on identifying and collecting data about the teaching of mathematics. Key competencies have been identified for mathematics education, along with ways of measuring these to provide data for course and teacher improvement. The processes used have application beyond mathematics education, and we hope to share these with you through your attendance. A communiqué addressing ways in which necessary skills can be acquired will be developed from discussions and feedback during this conference.
Your participation will contribute to:
A commitment to action for education methods
Attendance is FREE – Please share this invite amongst your colleagues and networks
