This year we are running Student Engagement Days in Adelaide, Melbourne, Hobart, Launceston and Burnie.
Many students will have attended Engagement Days (or study days as we used to call them) in the past and know how valuable they are for your motivation and connection with each other and staff.
Throughout first semester there are a number of opportunities to engage with staff and your peers. The Student Engagement days are open to all existing distance students in all courses. Many students can testify to the importance of days like these and you are encouraged to attend where possible.

All students attending an Engagement Day are required to register their attendance through an online registration form.
"I was a distance student and the (engagement) sessions enabled me to put names to faces, personalise my learning both professional and personally. I was able to develop, build and reconnect with fellow students and lecturers who shared the journey at UTAS with me - those experienes will stay with me throughout my life. Whilst learning online was wonderful opportunity there is lots to be said about the face to face experiences. What you learn at the sessions can provide vital information regardless if you are commencing your study or near completion. I can guarentee the lecturers will answer as many questions as you can put to them and if for some odd reason they can not ..trust me they will respond promptly! If you get one thing out of the sessions it is one more thing you needed to know to help you along your study path."
