Professor Ian Hay from the UTAS Faculty of Education has been involved with the Menzies Medical Research Centre on a longitudinal study looking at the effects of low iodine levels of mothers during pregnancy and its impact on their children’s later learning. The study has just been published in the major international journal, Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism (JCEM) and is attracting considerable media attention.
