Log on to SPMS using your normal UTAS username and password
Select MY PLACEMENTS from the top Menu
Under PLACEMENTS OPEN FOR APPLICATION you will see the relevant unit CODE (e.g. ESH102)
Click APPLY on the right hand side
Select your REGION (i.e. Northern Tasmania) and click ADD NEW (Important! If this step is not followed your application will not save)
In the COMMENTS BOX please enter any information that may be relevant to your placement.
If you are located interstate please provide names and emails for at least 3 schools in your preferred location (note that placement at these schools is not guaranteed).
Click SAVE. Your application now says SUBMITTED. If there is no save button return to step 6 and ensure you have clicked ADD NEW.
You will be requested to sign a Placement Agreement before your placement is confirmed. Please note that you cannot undertake your Professional Experience placement unless you have signed this document.
If, after following the above instructions, you need any assistance with your application, please don’t hesitate to contact the Professional Experience Office.
You may return to your application to make amendments up until the closing date.
