Early Years Placements (Birth to Age 5)

Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) students undertake two Early Years Placements as part of their degree - Early Years Placement 1 (EYP1) and Early Years Placement 2 (EYP2).

EYP1 is a 20 day placement  undertaken in a birth to two years setting in a child care centre. From 2013 this placement will be taken in conjunction with PE2.

EYP2 is a 25 day placement as part of either PE3 in 3rd year or PE4 in 4th year, undertaken in a three to five year setting in a school.

Arrangements for Early Years Placements are managed through the Professional Experience Office.

NOTE:Credit cannot be given for previous (or current) work undertaken in an early childhood setting.
