Career summary
Prior to my employment at the University of Tasmania, I spent a number of years working in aquaculture and elite swimming coaching. From there I commenced my training in education by completing a post graduate teaching qualification. I am currently enrolled in the UTAS Master of Education program and lecture in the Master of Teaching and Bachelor of Education (primary & specialisations) programs.
Teaching
I am passionate about the use of creativity and design in tertiary education and how these can be best applied to contemporary educational settings. I am also involved with the delivery of the core aquatic instruction unit for the Bachelor of Education Specialisations.
Research interests
My Masters research will investigate; if power and authority is utilised in mentor relationships and is so, does this result in conformity and/or a form of docility.
