Tim teaches primary and secondary Society and Environment Curriculum and Method courses, face-to-face and online, in the Masters of Teaching program.
Dr Tim Jetson was teacher and teacher-librarian at government and catholic schools for nearly two decades. He has worked at the University of Tasmania since 1990, firstly as a Junior Research Fellow in History working on ARC projects which involved compilation of regional bibliographies, construction of an Irish convict database, editing of the Journals of William Smith OBrien, an Irish Exile and the editing of Historical Records of Australia. He joined the Faculty of Education in 2008 and teaches in the Master of Teaching program. In 2009 and 2010 he received a UTAS Teaching Merit Certificates. He has been a member of the Faculty Academic Workload Advisory Group and this year was elected to the Academic Senate.
