Faculty academics are associated with national and international research networks and major collaborative research projects that present exciting opportunities for graduate research.
The Faculty has an internationally recognised group of researchers in Mathematics Education and the development of the Tasmanian ‘hub’ for the National centre for Science, Information and Communication Technology, and Mathematics Education for Rural and Regional Australia (SiMERR), has been a major catalyst for research focusing on rural and regional issues in Science, ICT and Mathematics Education in Tasmania. Teacher education and professional development of teachers are a strong focus for research in these and other disciplinary areas.
