Cradle Coast
Secondary school you attended?
Marist Regional College, Burnie
Why did you decide to study the Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood)?
I have always had a passion to work with young children.
What is your favourite unit/subject? Why?
ESH201 – Teaching Religious Education (Elective) – I found this unit very interesting and applicable to everything not just RE. The unit showed me how teachers give the students the information and they figure out their beliefs. Very interesting.
Highlights and challenges of your study/experience so far?
The highlight has been making friends that support each other throughout your studies, a challenge has been time management, juggling assignments that are all due at the same time.
Any advice for future students?
Make sure you time manage everything, it is very important, and keep on top of everything, don’t think ‘I’ll do it later’.
Where you would like to see yourself in 5 years time?
I would like to see myself teaching in a school, possibly a Catholic School, around the north west coast of Tasmania.
