Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood)
- Available to Australian and International students
- Graduates qualified to teach children from birth to Year 3 in Tasmania and most Australian states and territories; the qualification is also highly valued by schools outside of Australia
- Course duration - 4 years full time, up to 9 years part time; starts in February and July
- Study on campus in Launceston or Burnie, or study fully online
- There are numerous course entry pathways, they include:
- A tertiary entrance rank of approximately 65 (ATAR)
- Bridging programs or Foundation Units
- Ariculation pathways, TAFE or AQF qualifications
- Diploma in University Studies or Associate Degree
- University Preparation Program
- Transfer from another university

Teaching in the VET sector
Bachelor of Education (Applied Learning)
- Currently only available to Australian students
- The Bachelor of Education (Applied Learning) is a contemporary, flexible and creative response to the demand for a more skilled teaching workforce in the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector. Graduates of this course will be highly sought as teachers in TAFEs, Polytechnics, private RTOs, as trainers in the defence force, emergency and law enforcement agencies, nursing, hospitality colleges and more. They will also be qualified to teach in public and private sector schools.
- Course duration - Minimum 4 years full time, up to 9 years part time, starts in February and July
- Study fully online
- Admission to this course is available on the basis of a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences, which can include:
- Vocational qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications
- Accreditation/licensing with industry bodies (sometimes integrated within vocational qualifications)
- Vocational/Discipline experience
