25-27 June 2008
Comparative Journalism Studies is a relatively new discipline, multidisciplinary and globally oriented. Researchers in this field explore journalism content and practice as it occurs across different cultures, nation-states, historical periods, media forms and communication environments.
Comparative Journalism Studies 2008 aims to develop a critical dialogue on the object, the nature and the mode of enquiry in comparative journalism studies, and to gain insight into this emerging field. The conference will provide an overview of different frameworks which may be useful in explaining journalism within these various contexts.
We are delighted to advise that an expert panel will discuss
"Methodology of Comparative Journalism Research"
The panel includes:

Professor Daniel Hallin, University of California, San Diego (by Video Link)
