Aims and Outcomes

Aim of the Fellowship

‘Engaging students as partners in global learning’ will engage students and academics as active, critical, and agentic partners in learning and teaching. Fellowship activities will focus attention and develop expertise on engaging students with staff as co-designers and co-producers of globally relevant curriculum and learning experiences.

Desired outcomes of the Fellowship

New understandings of the perceptions and motivations of students and staff engaging as partners in global learning

New capacity for staff and students to work in partnership to make changes in formal, hidden and informal curricula in order to enhance global learning

New connections developed through the Fellowship’s community of scholars

New institutional support and leadership strategies that better support partnerships in global learning

New practices in global learning, co-designed by staff and students in universities

Raised awareness and debate regarding the potential, possibilities and pitfalls regarding students as partners in global learning
