Hobart and Launceston
This is the course for those who want to build their English language skills for a wide range of purposes including study, work and travel.
Whether you want to prepare for academic study or take an IELTS or other test, Pathway English will develop the skills you need.
Pathway English will also provide you with the language skills and confidence required for global communication necessary for today’s world.
Hobart and Launceston
This English for Academic Purposes (EAP) course is for those who have not yet met the English language requirement for their UTAS degree offer.
It is offered as a 20, 15 or 10-week course depending on existing scores from an approved external English language test and, in addition to language development, provides an excellent preparation for tertiary literacy and university culture.

Hobart
As a pathway into first year undergraduate degrees, Foundation Studies is for students who have not yet met the academic requirements for their chosen course.
If you have finished Year 11 and have an English level of IELTS 5.5 (or equivalent), successful completion of this course will enable you to enter first year of an undergraduate degree.
If you did not get an offer into your chosen faculty following completion of Year 12, then UTAS Foundation Studies may be your alternate pathway to success.

For those at an intermediate level of English who want to prepare for an IELTS test in order to meet English language entry requirements for university study or for professional registrations such as Nursing and Accounting.
