This is the course for those who want to build their English-language skills for a wide range of purposes, including study, work and travel.
Pathway English is a multi-level program providing 20 hours per week of intensive English-language tuition for pre-intermediate to advanced learners. Each level comprises a 5-week module and progress is based on achievement.
The course is designed so that the early levels cover general and academic language skills. As students progress to higher levels, there is greater emphasis on academic language skills. At the end of every module, students complete assessments in all skill areas, with specified overall and individual skill scores required for satisfactory progression.

The skills students learn can also assist work and career opportunities and provide a good level of communication for the student who is travelling and wants to interact with English speakers.
Class work prepares students for all aspects of academic study as well as the IELTS and other external English language tests.
Independent learning support is provided to students to assist their progress throughout the Pathway English program.

Students are expected to buy the recommended course book appropriate to their level of study as they progress over their period of study at the English Language Centre. (A course book costs approximately $65 and is designed to cover a 15-week period of Pathway study.)
