Choosing and enrolling in your units
Knowing what to choose
In some courses all the first year units are core or compulsory; in some all the units are elective and you can choose from a range of offerings; and in others there is a mix of core and elective.
You may have received advice about unit selection in your offer pack. Read any course information carefully, it will help you to enrol in the correct units.
The Course & Unit Handbook contains much of the information you need to choose your units. It will help you understand the structure and rules of your course. The Handbook has a great deal of information so we recommend that you take the eTour to find out how to get the most out of it.
Look for the link to your course then click on Structure and Schedule, eg:

.
Your faculty or school website will also have information about unit selection for new students.
If you have checked the Course and Unit and your faculty website and you need more advice, you can contact the Course Adviser listed on yourfaculty or school website.
Enrolling in your units: You add your units on-line at eStudentCentre (more details in the next step).
You can download the Guide to Enrolling Using eStudentCentre for help you navigate the process. Make sure you go all the way to the submit button otherwise the details won't save. There is a progress bar at the top of the page to show when you have completed the process.
