The Events and Protocol unit is responsible for the strategy, planning, management and promotion of high-profile centrally managed events that increase the University’s social, cultural and strategic engagement with business, industry, government and the community, and for advice on protocol governing University activities, events and engagement with government and the community.

The unit is responsible for the strategy and delivery of:

  • Graduation ceremonies 
  • Vice-Chancellor's award ceremony
  • Annual and named lectures
  • Launches and openings 
  • Dinners 

Additionally, the unit provides promotional support and event logistics advice to UTAS Schools, Institutes and Faculties hosting public lectures and forums.

The unit maintains the Events Calendar - contact us to include your UTAS event on the calendar. The unit plans, coordinates and delivers UTAS graduation ceremonies. The unit oversees funding for Cultural Activities Committee outreach programs.
