If you are having issues adapting to University or knowing best how to manage your time the online modules and fact sheets below will assist with the main issues confronting students throughout semester. Have a browse and then contact your Student Adviser if you are still having difficulty with these issues.

If you are an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander student, support is available at our Riawunna Centres on each campus. We can help you with ITAS one-to-one tutoring, mentors, enrolments and course advice. We also offer a preparation pathway called Murina which helps new students get ready for university study. The Student Advice team offer UTAS students a range of online modules throughout semester. UGrow USucceed modules will assist in the development of the skills that you need to be successful at University and beyond.
As a university student you will be expected to take responsibility for things like finding and understanding your class timetable, attending classes and completing assignments. This set of modules explores all of the 'need to know' information important for ensuring your first semester at UTAS runs smoothly.

Are you considering studying online and want to know whether its the right mode of study for you? Or would you like to know how best to manage your online studies? This module provides an introduction to the benefits of studying online and what you can expect, as well as some useful tips and advice on how to get started and how to succeed in your online studies online recording available
Not sure how you're going to manage your time to get the most out of your studies, meet assessment deadlines and keep up with other commitments? This set of modules outlines some tried and true time management tools (e.g. weekly planners), and techniques on how to limit distractions and overcome procrastination.

If you think that just completing a uni degree will get you the job you want, think again. Employers are looking for a wide range of skill sets in todays graduates. Wondering how on earth to tackle your exam preparation? This module introduces a 3 step approach to breaking down the overwhelming task of revising for exams by looking at revision techniques and offering tips to help you achieve exam success online recording available
To succeed at UTAS you need some basic IT skills – you need to be able to access email, create Word documents for your assignments, use the learning management system MyLO and manage your files. If you feel that you need to develop or brush up on these skills, take a look at Computer Skills for University.
