If you're a student, and you need advice, you're in the right place.

Kellie Brandenburg

Hi, I’m Kellie Brandenburg and I’m the Student Adviser for the Australian Maritime College and for Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology students based at Newnham campus.

Thanks for visiting my advice page.  My job is to help students navigate the challenges and opportunities of university life. I’ve collected the most useful resources and information and put them here in one spot so you can find the tools you need to help you, when you need them.

If you can’t find what you need here, feel free to talk to me in person, over the phone or online.  I can help you:

  • Understand university policies and procedures.
  • Access services such as counselling, learning support, careers and employment guidance, disability and health support, and specialised services for international students and for students from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
  • If you have enrolment problems.
  • If you aren’t sure you’re in the right course.
  • If you’re finding it difficult to keep up with your attendance or study commitments.
  • If you have personal circumstances impacting upon your studies.
  • If you need help to develop good time management or study skills.
  • If you have a question and you don’t know who to ask.

Find me...

I’m in room Y-166 on the ground floor of the Student Centre at the Newnham campus.  You can phone me on (03) 6324 9701 (please leave a message if I can’t answer) or email me:

Please follow my Student Adviser Facebook page at: www.facebook.com/AmcSetStudentAdviserUtas

I use the Facebook page to share information about all sorts of events, opportunities and information that I know AMC and SET students will find useful. Some posts are about social events, some are about educational resources, some are about career development opportunities, some are about important university dates or information.  It’s the best way to keep up to date with what’s happening.

If you are a Maritime Training (seafaring) student, please follow this link for comprehensive information specifically for you.

If you’re a student in the School of Architecture and Design at Inveresk campus, your Student Adviser is Sarah Rowlings.
