University of Tasmania, Australia

The Foundation was established by the University in 1994 under the Associations Incorporation Act 1964 to assist it to gather together a group of friends who would give their time and means to support UTAS in its work.

The University of Tasmania Foundation operates under a formal deed of trust with a board of governors.  It is managed by directors - prominent community and business leaders who volunteer their time and expertise.  The administrative activities of the Foundation are undertaken by staff in the UTAS Advancement Office.
