Grants and Scholarships
The Save the Tasmanian Devil Program is the largest conservation program currently underway in Australia, and its research and management programs are significant world-callibre collaborations between the Tasmanian Government, the University of Tasmania and other leading research institutions.
Project grants and scholarships are funded from donations received through the Save the Tasmanian Devil Appeal via the Tasmanian Devil Research Advisory Committee, to support research and management programs that meet the key priority areas of the Save the Tasmanian Devil Program ).
Applications are considered in two rounds each year:
• Round one closing date: 30 May
• Round two closing date: 30 October

Dr Eric Guiler Tasmanian Devil Research Grant: grants of up to $30 000 are available to assist with research costs for projects endorsed by the Save the Tasmanian Devil Program. Scholarships

Dr Eric Guiler Tasmanian Devil Honours Scholarship: Each Scholarship is valued at $5,000 for one year of full-time study. The TDRAC may at its discretion award an additional amount of $2,000 towards research costs. Applications for honours projects should be submitted on the UTAS Tasmania Honours Scholarships Application form available at: www.scholarships.utas.edu.au

Tasmanian Devil Elite Scholarship: This scholarship may be awarded up to Australian Postgraduate Award (APA) level for up to 3 ½ years (currently $19,231) or as top up funding to another scholarship (eg. APA) with an additional discretionary contribution towards research costs. Applications for Elite scholarships should be submitted on the UTAS Elite Scholarships Application form available at: www.utas.edu.au/graduate-research/elite
