MARIE EDWARDS ART GIFT EXHIBITION 19 - 21 OCTOBER 2007

The Foundation invites artlovers to purchase works from our second Marie Edwards Art Gift exhibition. The opportunity to view and acquire works from this impressive collection is available in two ways:

2. Book a Private Viewing at the UTAS Fine Arts Gallery, University Union Building, Churchill Avenue, Friday 19 October to Sunday 21 October. Viewing is by appointment only, 10am to 4pm (45 min intervals).

This is an opportunity to acquire outstanding artwork by a talented and unique Tasmanian artist. Your support will help build the Marie Edwards endowment and nurture future generations of talented artists.

A graduate of the Tasmanian School of Art and noted Tasmanian artist, Marie Edwards generously donated a substantial selection of her artworks to the UTAS Foundation to establish the Marie Edwards Travelling Scholarship in Visual Arts, Craft and Design. Our first major exhibition of her selected works in 2005 resulted in a sell-out event and two scholarships have already been awarded. The Foundation is now releasing a further selection of her art for sale, made up largely of works on paper.
