Terry Woodward Memorial Prize (Rule 12)

 

The Australian Society for Education through the Arts (ASEA) has donated $6,000 to the University. The Society has asked that the gift be used to endow a prize in honour of Terry Woodward, and that the prize be awarded in Arts Education. The Council of the University has agreed to the foundation of a prize in the terms declared in these Rules.

Rules
  1. The amount of $6,000, together with any interest from time to time, forms the endowment of a prize to be called the Terry Woodward Memorial Prize.
  2. The prize shall be awarded annually to the third year student at the Launceston campus with outstanding results in Arts Education, as determined by a committee comprising members of the Society and nominated staff from the School of Education.
  3. The annual value of the prize shall be determined by Council from time to time, having regard to the income from the endowment.
