North Hobart Football Club Peter Wells Scholarship (Rule 101)

Much of the extraordinary success of the North Hobart Football Club during its 125 years can be attributed to its volunteer members; Peter Wells was one of the best known and loved. Peter joined in 1959, became active in the fundraising and social committees in 1963 and sustained those responsibilities until his untimely death in 2006.  He was made a life member in 2000.

Peter undertook any task with dedication and good humour; even in final illness his commitment never wavered. His service and his final legacy to the Club to assist its future development are an enduring contribution from him to the whole community.

The Board of Management of the Club has determined to provide scholarships in Peter Wells name to support talented students from the Club while they study at the University of Tasmania.

The Academic Senate has agreed to the foundation of a scholarship.  These are the rules of the scholarship.
