Tasmania Honours Scholarships (Rule 22)
Rules
- The Tasmania Scholarships Management Committee established under the Tasmania National Undergraduate Scholarships Rules will administer the Tasmania Honours Scholarships. In doing so the committee must act in accordance with its operational rules.
- The scholarships will be awarded for study of the honours component of a course of study leading to the award of a bachelor degree with honours or a combined bachelor degree with honours, and will be awarded on the basis of academic merit within categories prescribed by the committee.
- A scholarship is tenable for 1 year.
- The detailed selection criteria will be set by the committee, having regard to any conditions imposed by the donor of any scholarship or class of scholarship.
- All other matters concerning the scholarships, including the frequency and number of awards offered, the value of each award, advertising, application procedures, and the method and time of payment will be determined by the committee.
- The committee will report annually to Academic Senate and Council on all substantive matters determined, and in particular on offers made and the progress of candidates receiving the scholarships. The committee must also report to Academic Senate and Council on any major changes to its operational rules.
