DRAFT SPACE MANAGEMENT POLICY and DRAFT SPACE ALLOCATION GUIDELINES for comment
The draft Space Management Policy and Space Allocation Guidelines are available for comment. These documents, drafted by Dr Sara Booth in conjunction with Professor David Rich, Matt Smith and Joan Rodrigues, incorporate proposed amendments to the current Space Management Policy and Schedule 1 – Space Allocation Guidelines.

Once finalised, the policy shall be submitted to the Approval Authorities (Policy – Vice-Chancellor; Guidelines – Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) and Provost). DRAFT REVIEWS POLICY for comment
The draft Reviews Policy is available for comment. This document, drafted by Professor David Rich and a working party from the Quality Committee, is proposed to replace the Academic Reviews Policy. This document outlines the University’s approach to ensuring a robust, efficient and effective system for the management and implementation of reviews – where reviews have a dual purpose in the assurance of quality, and as a mechanism for quality enhancement.
The draft is available for consultation and comment. Comments are invited before 25th February, 2011; ALL comments should be forwarded directly to the Policy Delegate. Once finalised, the policy shall be submitted to the Approval Authority (Policy – Vice-Chancellor). DRAFT DISCRETIONARY TITLES POLICY for comment
The draft Discretionary Titles Policy is available for comment. This document, drafted by Dr Angela Boyes in conjunction with Professor David Rich, is proposed to replace the Honorary, Visiting, Clinical and Adjunct Titles Policy and Procedure. The draft covers all discretionary titles, and notes that:
‘Discretionary titles may be awarded to individuals making an active and ongoing contribution to the work of the University, particularly its teaching and research programs, but who are not staff members of the University or whose primary employer is not the University or, in some circumstances, who are staff members in another UTAS organisational unit than the one in which they hold their discretionary title. Holders of discretionary titles may be remunerated for their contribution to the University, but this need not be the case.’
The document is available for consultation and comment. Comments are invited before 25th February, 2011; ALL comments should be forwarded directly to the Policy Delegate. Once finalised, the policy shall be submitted to the Approval Authority (Policy – Vice-Chancellor). The attendant Discretionary Titles Procedure shall then be drafted.
