The Vice-Chancellor has approved the new Research Ethics Policy, and Responsible Conduct of Research Policy. These policies were developed by the Australian Code Steering Committee (chaired by Professor Paddy Nixon, Deputy Vice-Chancellor [Research]) to ensure the University of Tasmania complies with the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research.
The Research Ethics Policy establishes the framework for research ethics to ensure that all University research activities are conducted ethically and conform to accepted ethical standards.
The Responsible Conduct of Research Policy formally acknowledges that the University of Tasmania adopts the principles and practices outlined in Part A of the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research (2007).
