All majors are available at the Hobart and Launceston campuses and can be taken as part of the following degrees:

• Bachelor of Arts
• Bachelor of Social Science
• Bachelor of Social Science (Police Studies)

and a variety of combined degrees.

Studying by Distance

All School of Government undergraduate units are available by distance, with the exception of internships and special topics.
You can even study an entire major by distance!

Honours Program

The honours program provides a more advanced understanding of the current theories and practices of the Political Science, Public Policy, International Relations and Police Studies disciplines. The honours year consists of specialised units and a thesis and introduces students to the skills involved in independent research. Further, the honours program also provides a stepping stone to Masters of Arts (MA) and Doctor of Philosopy (PhD) degrees as well as providing an additional qualification.
