Tasmanian State Service Employees HECS-free Scholarship

From July 2011, the School of Government will be offering an undergraduate Diploma of Public Policy.

In addition, the School is offering a HECS scholarship for eligible Tasmanian State Service employees who are enrolling in 2012.

 

 

Eligibility criteria

Students must demonstrate that they fulfil the following criteria by submitting a HECS scholarship application.

Students must:

•        be a current Tasmanian State Service employee on a continuing basis (full-time and part-time) or on a fixed-term contract of 12 months or more; and
  
•        continue to be employed by the Tasmanian State Service while undertaking the HECS scholarship units; and
  
•        be an Australian or NZ citizen OR permanent residency visa holder residing in Australia during their studies; and
  
•        be eligible for a Commonwealth supported place under the HECS-HELP system (this applies to most people – see www.goingtouni.gov.au for eligibility guidelines) and fulfil Commonwealth requirements; and
  
•        not have been enrolled at UTAS for 2 years immediately prior to this Diploma enrolment unless that study has been completed, and
  
•        not be in receipt of any other UTAS scholarship
