Duration - Minimum 2 years, maximum 4 years

The course is designed to support advanced studies in instrumental/vocal performance, composition and music technology. Primary concentration will be given to the development of high level technical and music skills within the specialist area.

On completion of this course students should have:

  • developed advanced skills as performers and/or composers
  • acquired increased skills in their particular area
  • developed a comprehensive understanding of a wide range of repertoire and concepts
  • acquired research and communication skills commensurate with postgraduate study.

The course consists of a number of core units, in addition students have the option to include a Research Project in their unit selections.

The Conservatorium of Music offers students an integrated music education based on best international contemporary arts practice. Live music making is at the core of the Conservatorium's activities.

To qualify for admission applicants will need a relevant undergraduate degree, music qualifications, interview and audition.
