The Bachelor of Teaching is a 2-year course, taken after the completion of a first degree, in an area other than teaching or education. The course is intended to provide teaching practice and skills to enable the beginning teacher to cope with the early years of teaching and to lay a foundation for further professional development in both theory and practice of education.

The Bachelor of Teaching qualification is an innovative teacher education program to prepare students to teach in a number of streams.
