These courses provide students with the capacity to work for the conservation and sustainable management of Australia's natural environments. The courses consider parks and protected areas, state forests and natural areas on private property.
These courses have a strong practical component, providing access to the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage areas, and other locations that serve as a natural laboratory.
The course can lead to positions in conserving and managing natural environments. People with expertise in natural environmental management are sought after by protected area management agencies; local, state and federal governments; community organisations and private consulting firms.
