The rehabilitation counselling courses are skills based, and provide skills and knowledge to students who may wish to work in vocational rehabilitation areas such as - rehabilitation following heard injury; illness or injury; death or dying; incarceration; and drug or alcohol rehabilitation.
The courses look at both the theoretical, as well as practical skills in rehabilitation counselling areas.
The course is accredited by the Australian Society of Rehabilitation Counsellors (ASORC).
The structure has been amended from 2007, and has synergies with Counselling.

Graduate Certificate of Counselling
Location - Hobart and Launceston
Fees - Full-fee paying
Intake - February and July
Duration - Minimum 1 year (2 sem) part time only, maximum 2 years (4 sem)
This is a skills based course, and provides an opportunity to gain a qualification in counselling, as well as the option of further study in either rehabilitation counselling or counselling.
The Graduate Certificate is made up of four core units, Counselling Skills 1; Counselling Skills 2; Counselling Ethics and Practice; and Adjustment to Change.
Graduate Diploma of Rehabilitation Counselling
Location - Hobart
Fees - Full-fee paying
Intake - February and July
Duration - Minimum 1 year (2 sem), maximum 2 years (4 sem)
The Graduate Diploma in Rehabilitation Counselling provides opportunities for graduates with a background in psychology or another area of human services, to undertake postgraduate study in rehabilitation counselling.
It is a full fee-paying course offered on a full-time or part-time study basis and comprises eight 12.5% units, four of which are offered on both Hobart and Launceston campuses, four on the Hobart campus only.
Master of Rehabilitation Counselling
Location - Hobart
Fees - Full-fee paying
Intake - February and July
Duration - Minimum 2 year (4 sem), maximum 5 years (10 sem)
The Master of Rehabilitation Counselling provides opportunities for graduates with a background in psychology or another area of human services to undertake advanced level training in rehabilitation counselling.
It is a full fee-paying course offered on a full-time or part-time study basis. Of the fifteen units undertaken, seven are available on the Hobart campus only.
