The first of two units, Orchestral Practice 4A enables orchestral instrumentalists to participate in a variety of activities designed to provide intensive pre-professional training in orchestral practice. The unit consists of orchestral/sectional rehearsals, repertoire and excerpts classes, masterclasses, audition and concert performance opportunities.
Students may undertake this study in one of the following orchestral instruments: flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, French horn, trumpet, trombone, tuba, percussion, violin, viola, cello, double bass
Units are offered in attending mode unless otherwise indicated (that is attendance is required at the campus identified). A unit identified as offered by distance, that is there is no requirement for attendance, is identified with a nominal enrolment campus. A unit offered to both attending students and by distance from the same campus is identified as having both modes of study.
