About Census Dates

The aim of this unit is to enable students to develop skills in the rehearsal and recording of chamber music/small ensemble/orchestral audition repertoire for a professionally presented end product. Students choose the repertoire for the recording project and are responsible for devising and ensuring a regular rehearsal schedule. A weekly workshop allows students regular opportunities to perform and engage in class discussions of a diverse range of performance issues, e.g. style, performance practice, interpretation, artistic issues. It is expected that students will undertake significant research of their chosen repertoire. Chamber music/small ensemble CD projects must include accompanying liner notes
