The Graduate Certificate consists of the equivalent of one semester's full-time study. The program consists of four coursework units, each with a weighting of 12.5%. The Certificate can be completed in one year of part time study or up to two years of part time study.
Admission & Prerequisites
The Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology may accept as a candidate for the Graduate Certificate in Information Systems any of the following:
1 . A person who has a 3 year degree from an accredited university institution;
2 . A person who has demonstrated IT competencies and relevant professional experience of seven years' standing that indicate a level of knowledge and skill comparable to those of graduates in similar circumstances.
For entry into all postgraduate courses, international students must provide an IELTS test score of at least Band 6 with a minimum of 6.0 on all bands or a TOEFL score of 575 with a Test of Written English score of no less than 4.5. This test must not be more than 24 months old.
At the discretion of the Faculty, admission may also include an interview.
The course aims to provide short professional development studies that may be tailored to the needs of individual professional associations, corporate bodies or government agencies.
This course is designed to enhance skills within an existing career path and to broaden knowledge in the areas of electronic commerce, database design and management, IS/IT project management, information management and decision support systems.

Graduates of this certificate alone will not be eligible for professional membership of the Australian Computer Society but may use this certificate in conjunction with other qualifications to seek membership of the Society,
