The Masters of E-Health is offered by the University Department of Rural Health- Externally, Using online teaching and learning technologies, over a minimum completion time of 3 years part time (over two semesters), and a maximum 6 years part time. There is the oprion for participant to exit at the Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma level of the program.
Admission & Prerequisites
The course is suitable for health professionals who wish to enhance their understanding and
ability to work effectively with information and communication technologies. The course is also designed for graduates who wish to pursue a career as a health informatics specialist.
In order to qualify for admission to the Masters Program, applicants should
hold a three-year degree or a diploma with a major in a health related or communications technology area,
have experience and/or qualifications as deemed appropriate by the Director of the UDRH. As all units in the course use online resources, students need to have regular access to email and the internet.
It is anticipated that the course will be accredited by the Australian College of Health Informatics once this body has established its accreditation processes.
