The Affiliation Deed (PDF 2.9MB) details the terms and conditions for students from the University of Tasmania to undertake clinical placements within the Department of Health and Human Services.
The Faculty Practice Agreement (PDF 2.7MB) which provides the terms and conditions for University staff to undertake faculty practice in nominated areas of the Department's facilities has a schedule to the agreement with an application form for faculty practice placement.
The University of Tasmania has established a rural clinical school in the North West region with funding from the Australian Government. The University and the Department of Health and Human Services have agreed to co-operate to develop the Rural Clinical School through an Agreement in order to:

Students of many of the health science courses are required to undertake professional experience placements in Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), (as well as non-Government organisations (NGOs) and other community agencies). ‘Placements’ embrace a range of environments and include hospitals, clinics, practices, laboratories and field activities.
The Kit includes a Safety in Practice Agreement which must be completed and submitted to the student's School no later than 4 weeks prior to commencing placement. This Agreement addresses issues such as health, infectious disease immunity and criminal history (National Police Record Check). The Kit also includes the Code of Ethical and Professional Conduct.
