This is your Safety in Practice Kit. In order for students to undertake Professional Experience Placements (PEPs), there are mandatory requirements to be completed before students can enter a PEP venue.
The checks and assessments that you will be required to undertake may vary somewhat according to the course in which you are enrolled, please refer to the course requirements summary. However, the majority of students involved in the PEP program will be required to undertake all of the checks and assessments detailed in this Kit.
The University is required to establish the status of the student in regard to their criminal history, immunisation and infectious disease profile and that a student has the capacity to perform the functional requirements of their Professional Experience Placement. The Safety in Practice Kit is provided to assist you in the completion of the various requirements for you to be eligible for PEPs.
If you have any concerns about any of the Safety in Practice requirements it is strongly recommended that you consult with the relevant School contact.
