Welcome to Research at the Faculty of Health Science

All schools of the Faculty of Health Science have diverse and exciting research programs ranging from policy and practice research in the delivery of Health Services, issues relevant to rural and regional Australia, to clinical and experimental science, sports and nutrition. Our research programs are interdisciplinary and benefit from a rich interface with end users. The Wicking Centre for Dementia Research and Education is a key part of the Faculty of Health Science and we work closely with the Menzies Research Institute.

There is a wealth of expertise and excellent facilities available throughout the state to support your research endeavours whether you are a potential research student, a current higher degree by research candidate , a current UTAS staff member or an external collaborator.

The Faculty of Health Science Research Committee

The Faculty of Health Science Research Committee is chaired by the Associate Dean Research and comprises staff from each school, an early career researcher and a post graduate student representative. Each year we coordinate the Faculty Research Forum and invite applications for funding strategic research activity.
The committee meets every two months.
