Medical Sciences Precinct (Hobart)
The $148 million dollar building is strategically placed adjacent to Tasmania's major teaching hospital the Royal Hobart Hospital and supports enhanced partnerships with major health partners including the Department of Health and Human Services. The Medical Science Precinct encompasses the Medical Science buildings, the Domain campus and the Hobart Clinical School, where undergraduate and postgraduate students of medicine, pharmacy, paramedicine and nursing are taught, and where biomedical, epidemiological, neuro-translational and clinical research is conducted.
Sandy Bay Campus (Hobart)
The Sandy Bay campus is home to Psychology including the University Psychology Clinic and the Psychology Research Centre; and Pharmacy including main pharmacy teaching laboratories, simulation dispensing equipment and research activity such as their zebra fish facility.
Newnham Campus (Launceston)
The Newnham campus is the base for the School of Health Sciences, conducting teaching and research in nursing, medical laboratory science, exercise science and environmental health. It also comprises the University Exercise Physiology Clinic, the Centre for Rural Health, and teaching of psychology students.
At the Rozelle campus we teach students in the Bachelor of Nursing Fast Track and the Bachelor of Paramedic Practice. The campus is positioned to provide students and staff with close ties to our partners the Sydney Local Health Districts and Ambulance NSW.
At the Darlinghurst campus we teach students in the Bachelor of Nursing Fast Track in partnership with St Vincent's Health Australia, Sydney. The campus is co-located with St Vincent's Hospital in Darlinghurst, giving students access to industry based learning and a sense of belonging within the healthcare team.
